Better Barrow’s annual Wheelbarrow and Open Garden Weekend is now behind us – we hope that you all enjoyed yourselves.  I will be posting photos of all the barrows, open gardens and pictures of the events, etc. over the next couple of days – but there are a lot to go through so please be patient!  In the meantime Better Barrow would like to say a few thank-yous:

  • Thank You to everyone who helped get the Market Place tidied up for the weekend, with special thanks to Maddie, David and Jason who all put many hours in to cut grass, weed, plant and many other things
  • Thank You to all our volunteers over the weekend, in the Market Place, in the Tea Room – everywhere
  • Thank You to the yarn bombers who livened up the Market Place
  • Thank You to all the stall holders who filled the Market Place
  • Thank You to the entertainers – the Buskers, Nutty Norman and the Barrow Village band
  • Thank You to the photographers who recorded everything for posterity
  • Thank You to everyone who did a wheelbarrow and opened their gardens – without you there wouldn’t be a Wheelbarrow and Open Garden Weekend!
  • Thanks You to the various businesses that gave prizes for both the barrows and the raffle
  • Thank You to everyone who visited both from the village and from outside – we had lots of visitors from all over
  • Thank You to anyone I’ve forgotten to include (and apologies for so doing!)
  • and finally a bit of trumpet blowing – Thank you to the Better Barrow Committee who organised the whole thing!
